The upcoming 2026 elections feature a growing number of Asian American candidates running for public office across local, state, and federal levels in Illinois. As the AAPI community continues to expand its civic footprint, particularly across Chicagoland and its surrounding districts, this quick-reference directory is designed to help voters stay informed. 

Ahead of the primary election on Tuesday, March 17, and the general election on November 3, here is a look at who is on the ballot and the offices they are seeking.

Bushra Amiwala (D) - U.S. House (Skokie/Evanston area)

Josina Morita (D) - Cook County Commissioner, 13th District
