Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) declared his victory in his re-election bid to the U.S. House of Representatives for Illinois’ 8th district last November 3.

The 2020 recipient of the Cook County State’s Attorney Foxx’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Community Leadership Awards Ms. Aurora Austriaco, has been appointed to serve on the Racial Justice Diversity Committee by Chief Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer in the Northern District of Illinois.

Dear Asians Initiative was born of the frustration to attend to the lack of understanding of the Black Lives Matter movement and its protests. By actively engaging in conversations, people begin to acknowledge that there is a problem in the justice system and that it’s possible to work alongside the Black Lives Matter movement to bring about structural change for all minority groups.
