The Great Filipino Songbook: Back to Back shows and a Pop-Up in celebration of FIlipino American History Month

Chicago, a city rich in cultural diversity, is lucky to witness an exceptional musical journey! In celebration of Filipino American History Month, SamaSama Project, a dynamic Chicago-based Folk Fusion band, is returning to the iconic Davenport's on Sunday, October 22 with friends from Everybody’s Market!

Celebrating Filipino American History in Music

Presenting the hit show in its 3rd month at Davenport’s, SamaSama Project bedazzles the most memorable Filipino songs undoubtedly shaped by American music from the past century.

Rooted in the Philippines' intertwined history with America, this show is a celebration of the Golden Age of American Song, a time when the greatest Filipino composers crafted their most treasured melodies. SamaSamaProject explores the most iconic songs of the period, a harmonious blending of Spanish, American, and Filipino musical influences.

This extraordinary cabaret show brings to life cherished Filipino love songs with a fresh and modern take, merging melodies and memories woven in stories that everyone will enjoy!

Back-to-back shows and a Pop-Up!

SamaSama Project is slated to perform at 4 pm and 7 pm so you have more options to see the show. Stay after the 4pm show (or come early before the 7pm one) to enjoy Filipino eats, art, apparel, jewely and other keepsakes at a Pop-up event presented by Everybody’s Market Chicago right in the front room of Davenport’s!
