Executive Director
San Diego Historical Chinese Museum
“Looking at the past to help us shape the future.”
Jacinta Wong continues the conversations about Chinese culture and Chinese history that inspired her family to devote their lives to this mission in her hometown Chicago and beyond. After over 20 years of management experience working for nonprofits and contributing to public service in Chicago, Wong relocated in early 2023 to San Diego to work with the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum (SDCHM) Board on development, strategic planning, staff and volunteers, operations, fundraising and outreach.
Wong recently accepted the “2024 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award” from the Downtown San Diego Partnership, on behalf of the work being done at the Museum. The award recognizes the Museum’s passionate efforts in preserving and sharing the stories of the Asian Pacific Historic District in San Diego.
Join us in a conversation with Jacinta Wong as she shares some of her experiences about her new life in San Diego, and as she discusses some of her hopes and dreams for the Asian Pacific American community.
