
Tea Ceremony Class (Beginners) Six-week Chanoyu course with Iwatani Sensei
Urasenke Tea ceremony class for beginners. The student will start learning from how to enter the Japanese tea room and bow. Students will the learn how to drink matcha from the tea bowl and prepare tea in-tray style (盆略点前/Bon Ryaku Demae). Students are required to bring socks (preferably white) to enter tea room.
Dates: 8/24, 8/31, 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, and 9/28
Time: 10 AM - 12 PM
Cost: $120
Instructor Bio:
Iwatani Sokou (岩谷 宗江) was born and raised in Japan and has been learning Urasenke tea ceremony since 1995. She obtained her Urasenke tea ceremony associated professor degree in 2015.
