KACC: Soup Kitchen at the Lincoln Park Community Shelter

Join KAC-Chicago at the new facility for Lincoln Park Community Shelter (LPCS) as they prepare hot lunch meals every month on the 4th Saturday! This month will be a special event for the holidays!

This month they will create our own Christmas menu, shop for the food and prepare it at the shelter for 40+ people living at the shelter. It's a great way to give back to the community this holiday season. LPCS helps those get back on their feet by providing programs such as mentoring, computer skills, interviewing and more, while providing them with a place to sleep and meals to eat.

Lincoln Park Community Services (LPCS) tackles homelessness in a unique way by providing many services to those that are in need of shelter due to hardship, etc.  Those in need can apply for shelter and once they are part of the community, can take advantage of the services provided, such as computer training, resume building and help with interviews, etc.  As they stay with LPCS, volunteers also provide meals, tutoring, etc.  KACC will be involved in one Hotlunch every month on the fourth Saturday.  We will be fundraising throughout the year in order to provide the food and cook the meal for those staying at the shelter.  Come join us in support of LPCS and the great efforts they give to those in need before they end up homeless.
