#IAmAsianAmerican (#IAAA) is a national campaign engaging Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) millennials to be active participants in the electoral process. The one-week campaign started on Oct. 3 in New York City, Washington D.C, Los Angeles and Chicago and will end with its final celebration concerts and night markets on Sunday, Oct. 16. Local celebrities and performances will be the platform to have a final voter registration push aiming to register at least 15,000 new voters nationwide.

Chicago’s final celebration concert and night market will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Argyle’s Buttercup Park located at 4901 N. Sheridan Road. #IAAA is working in collaboration with APIAVoteKollaboration18 Million Rising and a coalition of several other AAPI organizations. In addition, local participating  groups and businesses include:

Standup comic, writer and podcaster Prateek Srivastava will serve as the day’s emcee, while putting on a funny entertaining show. Special guests include 2016 Olympian Sarah Chung (Paralympic judo). Local performances include following Kollaboration Chicago winners:
