Diverse Desires (Defiant Silk Festival) 2025

Diverse Desires was created to showcase a diverse variety of talented performers to share their individual, unique perspective on their cultural heritage. For this show, we are celebrating the AAPI Heritage Month by featuring Pan-Asian performers supported by an all-BIPOC crew.

Come experience the variety of the Asian American cultural expression in Diverse Desires!

This show is part of Defiant Silk: A Pan-Asian Cabaret Festival at the Newport Theater.

Featuring:

• Honey Bee Rose, the reigning 2024 Mx Exotic World.
• Bebe Demure, Once a member of Richmond Ballet, now a nationally traveling burlesque performer & producer.
• Sinful Delight, Vietnamese burlesque performer who oozes sensuality and erotic power.
• Cecile, A pole performing sensation whose powerful moves have enchanted countless.
• Caity, A contortionist and a teacher who loves noodling around Chicago.
• Koda Pendants, drag king from the Haus of Wonder
• Dahlia S Valentine, the embodiment of fiery passion and lustful desire.
• Juniper Faewild, the burlesque/pole femboy of your fantasies

Ages 21+. Limited capacity (max 65%).

Accessibility: Our theater is up a flight of 21 stairs (plus a step up off the street) with railings on both sides of the staircase. We do have a separate entrance with dual railings if you prefer a private entrance that is less trafficked. We can also plan seating to accommodate your preferences (i.e seating you near an exit with close access to a single stall, wheelchair-accessible gender-neutral restroom). The theater is air-conditioned.
