Event Date: July 7, 2026 (2PM)

Celebrate the launch of Good Brown Girls, the first poetry collection by Parul L. Bhandari. This collection is a message of heart and relationships, culture and community, family and self, and sometimes just a bit of real life.
Each ticket comes with a signed copy of the book!
It is written with a lens on South Asian immigrant and 1st generation experiences, with a backbone in the American experience which we share. This collection is for brown people, for allies and culture connectors, for women, for immigrants, and it is for all.
What to expect during our chai party:
- Poetry reading by Parul followed by Q&A and book signing
- Delicious chai and snacks from our partner Kama bistro (bar open for anything else you desire)
- Experiential poetry session
- Live henna station by our partner Magic of Mehndi
- Mingling, networking and chats
Thank you to our additional event partners: Milan Meetups and Nayadin Films (Saloni will be snapping photos which we will share post event).
It is sure to be a nourishing afternoon spot of tea!
