A Just Chi is a space for Asian American grassroots activists, organizers, and volunteers. We have a general meeting every third Wednesday of the month for political education, workshops, moving our issue-based campaigns, and planning upcoming events. A Just Chi is specifically for Asian/Asian American community members, including multi-racial people. New folks are always welcome!
Last month, we held a workshop on transformative justice and conflict resolution led by our Organizing Director, Seong. We discussed principles of transformative justice, responses to trauma, and also discussed a conflict resolution tool. It was a serious and important learning! And welcome and big thanks to our new staff member, Anooshka, for playing a vital role in our demo!
Our next workshop will be held on August 17th, and will be an introduction to city politics! Chicago politics can be very complicated! What does the comptroller do? What are aldermen and what are they responsible for? Why is the mayor like that? Find out, at our next AJC general meeting!
