A Lunar New Year Fundraiser to benefit the free APIDA Arts Festival
Celebrate and support Asian, Pacific Island, Desi/South Asian American artists in Chicago by celebrating the Year of the Dragon with us.
Wear your best red clothes and join us to bring in the Lunar New Year with yoga, dancing, complimentary food and drink, and Vision Board making to raise money to support APIDA artists in our free, 2024 festival.
Consider wearing red to welcome the dragon with luck, happiness, and prosperity. This is a take-your-shoes-off event. Feel free to bring your slippers, as long as you can dance in them.
4-5PM: All levels Yoga for teens and adults. Some yoga mats and props are provided. You're welcome to bring your own.
5-8PM: Drop in anytime for complimentary food, adult beverages, and dancing. Make a Vision Board and set goals for your Year of the Dragon.All ages are welcome to the party! Kids under 5 are free.
APIDA Arts is a non-profit arts organization in Chicago that produces events with all mediums of work from Asian, Pacific Island, Desi/South Asian American artists in Chicago. We hosted the largest APIDA arts event in the Midwest last year featuring dance, theater, music, ceramics, film, painting, scultpure, sound art, and more. Our festival took place at the Chicago Cultural Center, Goodman Theatre, Museum of Contemporary Art, and Lookingglass Theatre. Expect more great fun at our festival in 2024!
