Chicago White Sox Filipino Heritage Day To Be Held On June 24, 2023

Filipino Heritage Day will be held at the Guaranteed Rate Field at 3:10 PM Central Time on Saturday, 24 June 2023 as the Chicago White Sox play against the Boston Red Sox.

Filipino community organizations led by the Filipino Youth Leaders Program (FYLPRO) and Philippine American Cultural Foundation (PACF) are enjoining the community to celebrate Filipino Heritage Day, which comes on the heels of the celebration of the 125^th Anniversary of Philippine Independence on 12 June 2023.

Members of the Filipino community who will attend the game can join the pregame parade around the field’s warning track. Award-winning Filipina-American journalist Cate Cauguiran will be leading the parade as Grand Marshal.

Giveaways include a specially designed Philippine-themed White Sox shirt and White Sox basketball jersey for those who arrive early.

Filipino-American band SamaSama Project has also been invited to perform at the pre-game show at Gate 4 starting at 1:00pm.
