AZN PRYDE Market is a passion project rooted in community & accessibility. It is a gathering of artists, makers, movers, shakers, & bakers of the Asian American diaspora. We are featuring over 30 vendors across the different intersections of arts, crafts, sweet, & savory food. This will happen on May 22, 2022, 11AM-5PM at Metropolitan Brewing (3057 N. Rockwell St., Chicago).
Amazing chefs will be serving their love together a la immigrant family party style with endless mountains of our favorite foods. They can make you a plate of all the goodness you’d like to try, and please pay what you can. You read that right, AZN PRYDE Market believes that access to food is a right and not a privilege, and they will be offering a “pay what you can model” at their communal food table. Give what you can, take what you need, and give to others what is more than enough for yourself.
Vendors aim to donate 5-10% of sales to an AAPI or Black organization that aligns with them, in lieu of charging a vendor fee. The sliding scale donation provides an understanding that vendors have the ability to give what they can while first paying themselves. The host, Metropolitan Brewing, are donating 10% of their sales & hosting us free of charge. As for vendor needs such as tables & chairs, we have crowdsourced resources within the community.
Come play, nom nom, celebrate, and take care of the community with us!
