We are thrilled to welcome artist Patty Carroll to ALMA for an insightful artist talk about her installation piece “Glassy Eyed (Edition 1/10, Series: Anonymous Women: Domestic Demise).” In addition to discussing this compelling work, Carroll will provide a deeper look into the other pieces she currently has on display at the gallery.
Patty Carroll, celebrated for her use of highly intense, saturated color photographs, has been a prominent figure in the art world since the 1970s. Her acclaimed project, Anonymous Women, is a 4-part series of studio installations made for the camera, which addresses women's intricate relationships with domesticity. By camouflaging figures in drapery and domestic objects, Carroll creates a darkly humorous game of hide-and-seek between the viewers and the Anonymous Woman.
Don't miss this opportunity to engage with Patty Carroll and gain a unique perspective on her thought-provoking work.
